Jo Huff during lockdown - including her personal Skin Care Routine

It's been a while now since the Medispa at the hogarth has been temporarily closed. I miss my daily routine, being busy carrying out treatments, but most of all I miss my clients. Since lockdown I have spent time upskilling myself, I have been learning different healing modalities as well as refreshing my skills with brands such as Environ and ANP. Environ have some new treatments to offer, all of this I am really excited to sharing with everyone when we return.

I personally have always loved looking after my skin and now is no exception. These are my favourite skincare products for anti ageing, smoothing and protecting my skin.

For cleansing my skin I love the Micro honey exfoliating cleanser by circadian. I use it every morning and evening. This cleanser smells devine and has natural micro beads of beeswax which  gently cleanses and exfoliates the skin.  It also prepares the skin to receive further treatment.

For serums and moisturizers I love the Vitamin C reversal serum by circadia which is again used morning and evening and works wonderfully with the Micro Honey Exfoliator. This serum uses the most potent and stable form of vitamin C as well as hyaluronic acid to help firm the skin. It is a fabulous antioxidant which helps to neutralise the free radicals that is a big cause of ageing!

For the moisturiser the Youth essentiA defence cream by Environ mixed with youth essentiA c-q serum 4 is amazing. This is a results driven combination and has high levels of vitamin A and peptides to help smooth and to make the skin feel and look more youthful!! Ingredients such as Retinol palmitate, vitamin C and matrixly 3000 all help to stimulate collagen and elastin.

In the evening after applying the vitamin C reversal serum I then apply a Dermalogica overnight retinol repair 1%. This is a super active retinol of 1% with added peptides and antioxidants.  This all helps again to firm the skin and create youthful appearance.

With active ingredients such as retinol on the skin it's important to use a good SPF to protect your skin as one of the biggest ageing factors is the sun!! Heliocare is an amazing range of products and the heliocare 360 fluid cream would be my choice.  It's a high moisturizing cream that gives you excellent protection from the sun and even protects you from blue light. Blue light is emitted from our phones, iPads, computers etc which causes ageing on our skin.

I never leave the house without Jane iredale Powder me spf 30 translucent dry sunscreen which is great to top up your spf during the day when you already have make up on and dont want to ruin it by applying a sunscreen over the top.

The above are a great ways to help the skin from the outside. What I find really helpful is to help the skin from the inside out too. I do this through Supplements. I would recommend the ANP range and particularly the Skincare ultimate which will help protect your skin from the inside and particularly protecting your collagen from damage.

When we return to work there are 2 treatments I'm excited to have which are the Swich facial by circadia which is for facial rejuvenation which is a great alternative to a skin peel and has amazing results. Secondly our LED mask which stimulates collagen and elastin.

See you all soon

Love
