The 755nm wavelength based on the Alex laser, offers a strong absorption by the chromophore melanin. This makes the 755nm an ideal wavelength in the removal of fine and light colored hair.

When Will I See Results?

Most people begin to see optimal results between 6-8 treatments. During each treatment, we will treat hairs at different stages of their cycle. Most clients are expected to see approximately a 10-15% reduction in hair per treatment. After six treatments you can expect to see around a 90% reduction in hair regrowth.

How Do I Prepare Before My Laser Treatment?

Apart from shaving, avoid any other hair removal method such as waxing, threading or hair removal creams for 6 weeks prior to treatment and throughout your course. Avoid sunbeds or any kind of fake tan for 2 weeks and normal sun exposure for 1 week prior to treatment. You should shave areas to be treated or patch tested around 8 hours before your visit, areas should be smooth and stubble free for treatment. Medications that may cause photosensitivity (an increased sensitivity to light and heat) may prevent us from treating you.

What Is The Aftercare For Laser Hair Removal?

After treatment you may experience mild redness or slight sensitivity. Aloe Vera gel is excellent to calm and soothe the skin and works well straight from the fridge. For any areas treated that are exposed to sunlight, you should protect your skin with a 50 SPF sunscreen.

After the laser treatment avoid heat such as hot baths or showers, saunas, and steam rooms for 24-48 hours. Avoid vigorous exercise and swimming as the chemicals in the water may cause irritation.  

Is Laser Hair Removal with Soprano Titanium Safe For Dark Skin?

Yes. While the melanin in dark skin is exponentially more sensitive to the heat used in laser treatment, Soprano Titanium’s SHR method has been clinically proven to be the safe for dark skin types. Rather than exposing the hair follicle to a single high energy pulse which can cause trauma to skin with a high melanin count, SHR gradually heats the skin until the required heat energy is delivered to the hair follicle. This makes SHR the safest laser hair removal option, including for dark skinned patients.
