A cooling gel is first applied and then the light is gently swept across the treatment area. The BroadBand Light pulses destroy superficial pigmentation and seals dilated blood vessels. Sessions are quick and the treatment causes little discomfort (some heat and mild snapping). You may experience mild redness and swelling for 12 hours, which will wear off on its own. Pigmented lesions will become darker for 5-10 days and then flake off. Improvements can be seen after just one treatment but a course may be recommended depending on the individual.

BBL™ can be used on the face, neck, chest, arms and hands to treat textural problems such as fine lines, wrinkles and pores, uneven skin tone, sun damaged skin, vascular lesions and flushing from rosacea. Treatment with BBL™ can help reverse visible signs of ageing. BBL can also be used to treat blepharitis and dry eye syndrome. Skin will appear more even toned with visibly improved texture, elasticity and pigmentation.

Pain is mild - moderate, you may just feel some warmth. Topical anaesthetic may be applied if preferred but isn't usually necessary. Each flash of the light produces a feeling of warmth. Most patients easily tolerate the feeling without needing any anaesthetic numbing cream.

All treatments require a consultation to assess if you are suitable. BBL is suitable for a range of skin concerns, including pigmentation, sun damage, wrinkles, fine lines, veins, rosacea, freckles, moles, birthmarks, and acne. We do not treat those pregnant or breastfeeding.

This can vary depending on the individual, the area being treated, and the settings used. Treating pigmentation - the area is initially darkened, which tells us that the treatment has been effective. Within the next few days, your body’s natural healing process will remove the pigmented cells and replace them with fresh, new cells. Most patients see results in 2-4 weeks.

It is important that you wear a physical barrier sunscreen, clothing, and limit your sun exposure after your treatment. MOXI™ is a comfortable treatment to correct visible signs of sun damage, improve fine lines and wrinkles and help improve the appearance of pores. Anaesthetic cream is applied to the face prior to treatment and the face will be measured with motion tracking technology to ensure the face is treated evenly. There will be a comfortable warm, prickly heat sensation. After treatment, the skin will feel warm for 15 to 60 minutes with mild redness and swelling that can persist for 5-7 days.
