"My own story is that I went to see Dr Bela for a consultation about a year ago. Maybe I did not quite feel the despair Simone de Beauvoir wrote about but I did wonder if there was anything one could do to slow down the inevitable march of time: the horrid 'drawers' near the jawline, the thinning lips, the drooping eyelids.... Dreadful I thought. I was sure I wanted Botox and we did do that but then Dr Bela suggested various other treatments, using fillers. There results were quite quickly very good - and even astonishing. What is nice about Dr Bela is that he will listen to you carefully and look at your face and suggest steps which will take place slowly and gradually and you can be in charge of the process. Somehow we definitely have managed not only to stall the time for the moment but to reverse it quite a lot. The additional effect of the treatment for me personally was that I decided to lose some weight - and did - just over a stone (although I will never be one of the very slim types you see at our club!). I do feel more confident, more beautiful and happier - for sure. Of course it is also a little addictive - particularly as it does feel like magic - people are forever complimenting me now and the issue of my age has disappeared - for the moment! People are not only guess my age like in that telly programme - as 10 years younger - routinely we are talking about 15 years younger! So you might like to think about it - of course one has to budget and the expense is an issue. “Firstly I would like to take this opportunity to say a profound thank you to Dr Bela Horvath for his professional care and attention.
For 6 years I have lived with what I thought was a scar caused by a spot on my chin. Although it was barely visible to the naked eye, recently I had noticed it had changed shape and size. On two separate occasions I visited my family GP expressing my concerns and on both occasions I was assured that there was nothing to worry about and it was probably the result of an ingrowing hair.
It was very nerve racking when during a routine procedure Dr Bela immediately recognised it was actually a Basal Cell Carcinoma and referred me for further tests.
In the next 3 weeks I had my BCC (lesion) removed by a plastic surgeon who confirmed this was skin cancer. My scar is now healing very well. I now appreciate first-hand how important it is to have regular mole checks, without your careful care my BCC would have got bigger leading to all sorts of other consequences.”
